I. Inheriting Tradition, Creating Innovation: A Distinguished Representative of Contemporary Jian Ware
Jian tea bowls represent one of the highest achievements of Chinese black-glazed ceramics. Since the Song Dynasty, they have been celebrated for their mysterious kiln transformations and naturally formed, unrepeatable patterns. In contemporary times, only a select group of master craftsmen have successfully combined traditional Jian ware techniques with modern ceramic innovation. Among them, Zhou Jiayong stands as one of the most influential contemporary Jian ware artists. His works are highly regarded for their remarkable kiln effects and technical excellence, with the “Four Palace Reds · Imperial Seal Jian Tea Bowls” regarded as one of his most representative premium series.

II. Palace Red: A Contemporary Interpretation of Imperial Aesthetics
This set consists of four tea bowls inspired by four significant palace museums: the Palace Museum in Beijing, Shenyang Imperial Palace, Nanjing Palace heritage, and the National Palace Museum in Taipei. Each bowl interprets a unique aspect of Chinese imperial culture through distinct kiln-transformation effects.
